Whilst we’re being told about how to improve ourselves this January after a fatty Christmas it’s refreshing to have an advert which is actually telling us to love our imperfections.
Match.com have been very clever positioning this new campaign at a time where being single can be lonely, and looking at magazines and the beach bodies of ‘goddesses’ can make you feel inadequate. Match.com is all about finding your soul mate, someone that loves you for you, imperfections and all.
Although the timing of this advert makes this advert more powerful and therefore something which sticks out to viewers, I hope it’s something that they actually hope their members do.
So, whilst you’re making your marketing plans for this year, make sure you keep in mind the positioning of your advertisements and campaigns.
