There is no great mystery when it comes to making £100 a day online.

All it takes is a bit of creativity, some hard work, and a bit of sacrifice of your time.

This guide covers fifteen proven ways to make extra money online.

You’ll notice that each of the money-making methods varies in terms of their effectiveness; a number will be excellent examples of how to make quick money in one day, while others will probably only achieve one hundred pounds a month or so unless you combine them with a few other methods to help you reach the £100 a day target.

Luckily, you’re free to mix and match these methods whichever way you want, and once you do, you’ll realize that you’re able to set your sights higher with the aim of figuring out how to make even more per day.

Let’s get started…

How to Make £100 a Day Online

There is no shortage of ways to make money online, and the following examples will allow you to take advantage of the power, scale, and flexibility of the internet to earn money on your terms.

Want to make money from home? No problem. Want to make money while traveling? Sure thing. Want to make extra money in the evenings after your 9-5? Again, not a problem.

Here are 15 examples of how to make £100 a day online:

Start a Blog

There are many ways to monetize a blog that make it a great way to earn some extra money online, for example, you can use paid advertising, sponsored posts or affiliate marketing to name just a few.

For example, here are some examples of articles on blogs that primarily use affiliate marketing to earn money:

Taz & JayList of sloth gifts online

ToolCrowd – Tool review, for example, the DEWALT DWS779 miter saw

There are countless examples of bloggers who earn a good side income from their blogs, or who choose to blog full-time.

As a result, blogging should be a serious contender in your journey to figure out not only how to make £100, but also how to make £200 in one day, and likely even more.

Making serious money from blogging shouldn’t be a pipe dream either, as some bloggers earn upwards of six or seven figures a year from their blogs, meaning the sky is the limit in terms of how much you can make.

Start a YouTube Channel

YouTube is another proven way to earn extra money, because, like blogging, it is a full-time career path for many people.

There are several ways to make £100 a day with YouTube, with the most common method by far being advertising revenue. YouTubers typically earn between $3-$5 per 1000 video views.

Don’t worry if 20,000+ daily video views sound unrealistic though, as many successful YouTubers boost their earnings through other methods, for example:

  • Sponsored videos (a company pays you to talk about, or feature, their product or service).
  • Promoting their own products and services to their audience (e.g., selling branded clothing through their Shopify store).
  • Creating review videos of various affiliate products and services (money is then earned when a product is purchased using their affiliate link).

Adding these additional ways of making money could make the difference between earning less than one hundred pounds a month, to regularly earning a couple of thousand pounds or more.

Write an eBook

Do you have a specific skill that other people want to learn? Perhaps you prefer fiction, and you’re particularly good at writing short stories?

Regardless of what you want to write about, creating eBooks can be a great way to earn extra money.

Gone are the days where you would need a dedicated publisher to get your content out there, as it’s now quicker, simpler and cheaper than ever to publish your writing in the form of an eBook.

There is no shortage of places to sell your eBook too, for example, on Amazon for reading on their popular Kindle devices, or, you can make a PDF version that is electronically sent to customers after they’ve purchased from a dedicated webpage, blog, or auction site such as eBay.

The main requirement for how to make £100 fast won’t be creating the eBook itself (although this is clearly important!), it will be marketing it effectively. It doesn’t matter how good your content is, as people can’t buy something they don’t know about.

Create an Online Course

Creating an online course can be a great option to earn extra money if you’ve got a skill that you can teach others.

For example, if you can show knitters how to perfect their netted stitch, poker players how to improve their bluffing skills, or bloggers how to get to the top of Google’s rankings, then selling an online course could be an ideal way to make £100 a day.

As with eBooks, there has never been a better time to create an online course, because there are many platforms available which simplify the process for you, for example, Teachable.

Create an Online Store

Creating an online store will allow you to sell products online, for example, products that you make or items that you buy to resell for a profit, taking you closer to your goal of figuring out how to make £100 a day.

A couple of the most popular platforms are as follows:

Shopify: This is one of the go-to options for creating a store online because it provides everything you need, including a fully customizable website, online store, and blog, the ability to accept credit card payments. You can also sell on channels such as Amazon and Instagram.

With Shopify, you can create a standalone store on a dedicated website, e.g., mystore.com., helping your store stand out from the competition.

Etsy: This is a global marketplace that brings together buyers and sellers of creative goods, with the majority of products sold being arts-and-crafts based products, jewelry and beauty products.

Unlike Shopify, all Etsy sellers’ products appear directly on the Etsy website side-by-side, allowing potential customers to compare the pricing and features of similar products.

As a result, selling on Etsy can be highly competitive.

Become a Virtual Assistant

A virtual assistant is someone who can assist a business owner with specific tasks for an agreed fee, all while being location independent, i.e., they don’t need to be located near the business to work.

It can be an excellent option if your goal is to figure out how to make £100 a day from home.

The requirements of a virtual assistant can vary from business to business, but some of the common tasks include:

  • Customer support
  • General business functions, e.g., processing payments/refunds
  • Writing new content for the company’s website
  • Managing the company’s social media marketing
  • Managing the company’s email marketing
  • Maintaining the WordPress blog of the company

The more skills a VA has, the better, but don’t be put off if there are specific technical areas that you lack experience in, as excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn are arguably more important.

Being a virtual assistant has significant earning potential (between £20-40 an hour typically), meaning it is perhaps better suited to a list about how to make £200 in one day, rather than this one!

Become a Freelance Writer

If you enjoy writing, being a freelance writer could be a great way to earn extra money. You can leverage your time and skills to get paid for writing blog posts, articles, or general website content, etc.

The best part?

Freelance writing usually comes with a great deal of flexibility, allowing you to take on as much or as little work as you like, and it’s location independent meaning it’s a great way to make money from home or while traveling.

Need more motivation?

There are plenty of examples of freelance writers who earn over £30+ an hour, meaning that as with the virtual assistant suggestion, it’s probably better suited to a list about how to make two hundred pounds in one day!

Offer Other Services Online

In addition to being a virtual assistant or freelance writer, there is no shortage of other professional services that you can offer online, for example:

  • Social media marketing
  • Graphic design
  • Search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Web development
  • Accounting/bookkeeping

Your ability to offer these services will depend on your experience, or your willingness to learn a new skill.

Once you’ve identified a service you’d like to provide online, there are a lot of online platforms that can help you find work, for example, Upwork or Fiverr.

Become a Proofreader

The role of a proofreader is to ensure that written copy is professional and free from errors in terms of punctuation, grammar, and spelling.

It shouldn’t be confused with copyediting, which involves significant changes such as moving text and paragraphs around and deleting content that doesn’t need to be there.

Proofreading occurs after copyediting, and it deals with the small-scale changes required to perfect and finalize a piece of copy.

As with the other examples in this section, it is an ideal option if you’d like to know how to make £100 a day from home, or while traveling. You’re free to take on as much or as little work as you like, and you can easily fit it around your schedule or circumstances.

The best bit?

An English degree isn’t 100% required, as there are plenty of proofreading opportunities available that don’t need a degree.

Get Paid to Test Websites

UserTesting.com provides a way for you to get paid for expressing your opinion on websites and apps.

You’ll be able to provide video or audio feedback in all manners of things such as usability or clarity, which developers can then use to improve the website or app in question.

You’ll be required to complete a set of tasks during each assessment, with $10 earned via PayPal for every 20-minute piece of feedback you provide.

While it won’t make you rich by itself (you can probably expect to earn under one hundred pounds a month), it can be a great addition to the other items on this list to help you earn some extra income.

Get Paid to Teach English Online

Teaching English online can be a great, flexible way to make some extra money.

Provided you have a reliable internet connection, along with a webcam, microphone and a quiet area for lessons, you have the ideal setup to work from home or while traveling the world.

While the majority of companies require you to be a native English speaker (or near-native English speaker), there are a few options available depending on whether you already have or are currently working towards, a degree:

If You Have a Degree: VIPKID

VIPKID is an online education company that enables North Americans to teach English to Chinese students aged between 4 and 12 years old, with earnings up to $22 per hour.

There is no requirement for speaking Mandarin or Cantonese, but it’s worth remembering the following:

  • You need to have a degree (this can be in any subject).
  • You need to be North American.

If You’re Currently Working Towards a Degree: QKID

QKID is another online platform for teaching English to Chinese students, with earnings up to $20 per hour.

As with VIPKID, there is no requirement for speaking Mandarin or Cantonese, but there are a few differences:

  • While you don’t need a degree, you need to be enrolled in University.
  • You need to be physically based in Canada or the United States.

Get Paid for Searching the Web

Wouldn’t it be great if you could earn extra money for something you already do every day?

Well, it turns out you can.

Swagbucks allows you to get paid for searching the web, and the more you search, the more you earn. It couldn’t be easier!

It’s free to signup, and their search function is powered by Yahoo! meaning you’ll continue to get the trusted search results that you want and need while getting paid.

Complete Paid Surveys

Paid surveys are one of the easiest ways to make extra money online.

While they won’t make you rich by themselves (you can probably expect to earn about one hundred pounds a month from surveys alone), they can easily be added to other options in this article to help in your quest of learning how to make £100 a day.

There are many platforms available that will let you share your opinion on various products and services in exchange for money, but one of the most popular, and my favorite, is Swagbucks.

The amount you get paid depends on how many paid surveys you complete.

Each online survey pays differently, with the amount usually depending on how long it will take (this can be anywhere from 1 minute to 30 minutes). Swagbucks claims that most surveys pay between 40 to 200 SB points (100 SB – $1), with some offering as much as $50.

Sell Your Stuff Online

From books to old clothes, we all have loads of ‘junk’ lying around. But as the saying goes, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure, so why not get rid of yours in a bid to make a quick $100 or more?

One of the most popular platforms to sell your stuff online is eBay, which makes it super easy to earn some extra money from the things you’ve got lying around your house or garage.

You can choose whether to sell your stuff at a fixed price, or you can allow people to bid on it in an auction to try and make as much money as possible (don’t worry, you can set the minimum price you will accept to protect yourself).

You can even charge extra to cover things like postage and packing, or state that larger items that are too big to be posted are only available for collection.

Simple.

Get Paid to Watch Videos

I’ve already mentioned Swagbucks a couple of times in this list (they pay you to search the web and for completing surveys), but they also offer a third way to increase your earnings, and that’s through getting paid to watch videos.

As with the majority of Swagbucks activities, you won’t earn a fortune from this one. That said, I’m sure you watch more than enough television and online videos for free anyway, so it’s hard to complain at the prospect of getting entertained and paid at the same time.

***

I hope this guide provides a good primer to help you figure out how to make £100 a day.

You’ll find that once you’ve reached this amount, the sky really is the limit.

Don’t forget to keep pushing yourself, for example, you could set a new goal of figuring how to make £200 in one day, and then £300, and so on.

As I mentioned in the introduction, all it takes is a bit of hard work, time, and some creativity.

Good luck!
