The guys at Playmobi.co.uk contacted us recently to let us know about their latest infographic that delves into statistics around mobile use.
To call it an infographic isn’t strictly correct as it’s designed to show “real time” data – ok, it’s a simulation but the way that the figures grow is quite surprising and did garner a gasp in amazement from me when I saw just how quickly the figures grow in a typical minute.
Just the figures from WhatsApp are mind-boggling on their own. 44,814,814 messages processed in a minute!
Some of the other “shocking” numbers are:
- Over 7,000 active Facebook users every minute
- Over 18,000 comments on Facebook every minute
- Over 7,400 active Twitter users every minute (and they say Twitter is dying)
- 175,000 images loaded to Instagram every minute (how many fitness images can it hold?)
- Over 30,000 job applications on LinkedIn every minute
- 1,400,007,781 YouTube video views every day
- Over 999,000 Uber rides every day!
