My dreams finally came true this year with my first trip to Disney World Orlando. After asking my parents every year since I can remember it was finally happening.
As soon as it was booked everyday for the next 4 months until we left we were watching videos on Youtube of the rides, Googling the weather and Pinterest-ing pictures of Florida. It’s safe to say our whole world was Florida.
We were really treating ourselves on this holiday and traveling in style with Virgin. Although we were going to be busy in the parks for the first week, we wanted a bit of luxury, especially in our second, more chilled week. Once we’d booked the holiday we were sent through #marketing literature and updates about our trip before we flew. This all added to the excitement and build up, with pictures of Disney characters and the red of Virgin everywhere. It has to be said that Virgin really are ace with their marketing. Everything about our trip was amazing and always had that hint of red reminding us about them.
In my opinion their adverts you see on TV are always fantastic, with a luxurious feeling, good looking flight attendants and aircrafts, making you yearn for a holiday. This was proved when the positive marketing only continued when our flight was delayed and the brilliant Virgin customer service kicked in, putting on food and drinks for us.
Once we boarded the plane everyone settled down for the long flight to come and the usual safety video. Let’s be honest, not everyone watches these videos. Most of us have been on enough flights to know them off by heart.
However Virgin have come up with a brilliant video that will keep everyone engaged. The fact that they understand marketing is so important for positive customer satisfaction is proven in the seamlessness of their branding. Some companies, once they taken your money and your on the flight think they’ve done their bit. You’re off on holiday so you’ll be happy. But Virgin really are going that step further in making every part of your holiday as special as possible.
We’ve just booked our honeymoon…guess who with.
